Our client is a family-owned company operating primarily in the import, storage, sales and distribution of wood based panel products. The business stocks a wide range of unique and specialist panels in addition to readily available commodity products. The Company has an excellent reputation for the products they sell and as an employer, their offices are extremely modern with a recently installed staff gym and changing rooms, modern breakout and lunch areas and free car parking.

We are now assisting with their search for an Apprentice Sales Executive.

This role will be responsible for making sales calls, continuously updating the company customer database, learning how to generate leads, and meet sales targets. Initially, this will start off with basic administration tasks and develop from there. A comprehensive training programme will be in place.

• Understand how to assess customer needs and provide solutions for them.
• Research prospects and help to generate leads
• Contact potential and existing customers on the phone, on email, and in person
• Handle customer questions, enquiries, and complaints
• Prepare and send quotes and proposals
• Managing the sales process through specific software programs
• Participate in sales meetings
• Meet daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets
• Provide excellent overall customer service
• Constantly work to improve processes

Salary

• £16,000, subject to annual pay review
• The Apprenticeship salary will be reviewed every 12 months and will increase based on the performance of the individual and the progress of the qualification.

Apprenticeship qualification – Higher Level 4 (Higher national certificate)

On-the-job training will be provided. There is no requirement for day release for college.  Upon successful completion of the Apprenticeship, the employee can progress into a Sales Executive role.
