Civil Technician

A growing multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is looking to appoint a Civil Technician to join its expanding infrastructure team in Welwyn Garden City. This is an excellent opportunity for a Civil Technician with experience in infrastructure and drainage design to work on a diverse portfolio of projects across sectors including residential, logistics, retail, commercial and data centres.

The Role

Responsibilities will include:

• Producing and reviewing civil engineering drawings and technical documentation
• Assisting with infrastructure, highways and drainage design projects
• Supporting site surveys and gathering technical information
• Developing 2D and 3D CAD models for infrastructure schemes
• Assisting with project coordination and technical approvals
• Maintaining accurate project records and documentation
• Supporting engineers with project delivery and technical reporting
• Ensuring designs comply with UK standards and client specifications

Requirements

• HNC/HND or degree qualified in Civil Engineering or related discipline
• Experience using AutoCAD, Civil 3D or similar design software
• Knowledge of drainage and infrastructure design principles
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
• Good communication and problem-solving abilities
• Experience within a civil engineering consultancy environment is desirable
