Senior Electrical Engineer – Water Projects

Location: UK (flexible office/field-based)
Salary: £50,000 – £65,000 DOE

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team delivering complex water and wastewater projects across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer to lead electrical design and technical delivery on high-profile infrastructure projects, contributing to sustainable water solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead electrical engineering design for water and wastewater projects, including pumping stations, treatment works, and associated infrastructure.
• Produce and review detailed design calculations, schematics, specifications, and drawings in line with relevant UK standards and regulations.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers within the project team.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including civil, mechanical, instrumentation, and control engineers.
• Support tendering and feasibility studies, providing technical input and cost estimation.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and environmental standards.

What we’re looking for:

• Chartered or near-Chartered Electrical Engineer (CEng / IET / CIBSE preferred).
• Significant experience (typically 7+ years) in electrical engineering design for water/wastewater infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of LV/HV distribution, motor control, SCADA integration, and pumping systems.
• Proficient in relevant design software and tools.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.
