Principle Electrical Design Engineer - Building Services

Location: Leicester 

Salary: £60,000 £75,000 DOE

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established, forward-thinking consultancy with a reputation for delivering high-quality, sustainable design solutions across commercial, residential, and public-sector developments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead electrical design and coordination from concept through to completion.
• Undertake detailed design calculations, specifications, and technical reports.
• Manage and mentor a team of engineers and technicians.
• Liaise with clients, attending meetings and providing technical guidance.
• Ensure designs comply with current regulations and sustainability standards (Part L, BREEAM, etc.).
• Oversee QA and design reviews within the electrical discipline.

About You

• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent).
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working towards registration.
• Proven experience leading electrical design within a consultancy or multidisciplinary environment 
• Strong understanding of relevant codes, standards, and software (e.g., Amtech, Dialux, Revit MEP).
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
