Environmental Consultant
Location: South West Wales (Commutable from Llanelli, Swansea, Carmarthen, Neath)
Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 DOE + benefits

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Environmental Consultant to join a well-established multidisciplinary consultancy based in South West Wales. This respected firm delivers high-quality solutions across a broad range of sectors, including environmental permitting, EIA, hydrology, geotechnical services, air quality, acoustics, and more.

This position is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in environmental sciences who’s looking to expand their skill set in a collaborative and technically diverse environment. You’ll benefit from hands-on project exposure, mentoring from senior professionals, and tailored training to accelerate your development.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Supporting the preparation and submission of Environmental Permit applications
  • Contributing to Environmental Impact Assessments and Planning Applications
  • Drafting technical reports, such as air quality, noise, and hydrogeological assessments
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams on projects in waste, recycling, energy, and infrastructure
  • Engaging with clients and regulators as needed to ensure smooth project delivery

What We're Looking For:

  • 6+ months of experience in an Environmental Consultancy setting
  • Degree qualified (BSc/MSc) in Environmental Science, Geology, Geography, or a related subject
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Experience or working knowledge of Environmental Permitting is highly desirable (but not essential)
