A growing civil engineering consultancy based in Bristol is looking to add a Civil Engineer to its expanding team.

The consultancy provides specialist infrastructure, flood risk and sustainable drainage design services, supporting residential and commercial developments across the UK. The team works closely with clients throughout the development process, from early site acquisition and feasibility through planning and detailed design.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Civil Engineer looking to build on their technical experience while working on a varied portfolio of development projects.

The Role

The successful Civil Engineer will be involved in the design and delivery of infrastructure solutions for a range of residential and commercial developments.

Responsibilities will include:

• Producing civil engineering and infrastructure designs
• Designing highways, drainage and associated infrastructure
• Developing sustainable drainage solutions and drainage strategies
• Preparing technical calculations, reports and drawings
• Supporting flood risk assessments and development proposals
• Working on projects from initial feasibility through planning and detailed design
• Liaising with clients, architects, contractors and other consultants
• Providing technical input and helping to deliver projects to a high standard

About You

• A degree or relevant qualification in Civil Engineering
• Previous experience within a civil engineering consultancy
• Experience across drainage, infrastructure and/or highways design
• An understanding of UK development and drainage standards
• Experience with relevant design software such as Civil 3D, AutoCAD, MicroDrainage, InfoDrainage or similar
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• The ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a wider team
