Secondment Opportunity - Major Infrastructure Development!

About the Company

This is a well-established and respected consultancy with a national presence and a strong reputation for delivering innovative and sustainable solutions across the environmental sector. Their Acoustics division works across a range of sectors including transport infrastructure, energy, residential and commercial development, and industrial projects.

Due to an increase in workload, an opportunity for an Acoustic Consultant has arisen, with the chance to undertake in a part-time secondment on a major infrastructure development.

What You'll Be Doing

You’ll support senior consultants on a diverse range of acoustics and noise-related projects, with responsibilities including:

  • Assisting in the planning, execution, and reporting of noise and vibration assessments
  • Undertaking on-site noise surveys and monitoring
  • Data analysis and interpretation using industry-standard tools
  • Supporting environmental impact assessments (EIA) and planning applications
  • Liaising with clients, local authorities, and project teams
  • Keeping up to date with current standards and best practices in acoustics
  • Secondment within their clients offices

This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience on nationally significant infrastructure and development projects, as well as smaller-scale local schemes.

What We’re Looking For

  • Demonstrable experience working as an Acoustic Consultant within a UK consultancy.
  • A degree in Acoustical Engineering, Physics, Environmental Science, Engineering or a related subject (ideally with an acoustics component)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Full UK driving licence (or working towards it) is desirable due to occasional travel
