Northampton – Hybrid
£30,000 – £45,000 per annum + Bonus + Commission

About the Role

We are recruiting for a driven and commercially focused B2B Account Manager to join a well-established and growing technology services organisation based in Northampton. This hybrid role is ideal for someone with strong relationship-building skills, a consultative sales approach, and proven experience managing client accounts within a fast-paced business environment.

The company provides a range of business solutions including managed services, cloud solutions, cybersecurity, IT support, and infrastructure services, supporting clients across multiple sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for building long-term customer relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring exceptional service delivery to maximise account retention and profitability. Similar Northampton-based B2B account management roles typically offer salaries from £30,000–£45,000+ depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of existing B2B customer accounts
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through outbound sales activity
  • Build strong client relationships and act as the main point of contact
  • Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable business solutions
  • Prepare quotations, proposals, and service agreements
  • Negotiate pricing and contract terms to maximise profitability
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and account activity reports
  • Work closely with internal departments to ensure smooth service delivery
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and proactively resolve issues
  • Achieve monthly revenue, margin, and retention targets
  • Stay up to date with market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments

Requirements

  • Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in account management, business development, or B2B sales
  • Proven track record of managing and growing client accounts
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Excellent organisation and time management abilities
  • Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office
  • Self-motivated with a target-driven mindset
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full UK driving licence preferred

Desirable

  • Experience within IT services, managed services, professional services, or commercial sales
  • Background in consultative sales or solution-based selling
  • Previous experience handling high-value client accounts
  • Understanding of cloud services, cybersecurity, or business technology solutions
