Associate Director - Latin America – Corporates

 Position Location: Toronto, New York and Chicago

 We are currently seeking an AVP for a large organization in their credit rating group. The incumbent will cover Latin America – Corporates Credit. The ideal candidate is someone who:

 

Will be experienced in covering the cover non-financial corporate credits, with initial emphasis on media and telecommunication sectors

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• conducting onsite meetings with senior corporate management in the region, performing analysis of key quantitative and qualitative factors, detailed financial modeling; 
• presenting companies to Client internal credit rating committee; communicating ratings and rating rationale to senior management; 
• interacting with investors, sell-side analysts and media; 
• public speaking on the sector(s); 
• and writing and publishing press releases and research reports. 

·Position will also require active role in assisting in related industry studies as well as active participation in national ratings conducted by regional offices. 

A healthy sense of intellectual curiosity is critical, along with a willingness and ability to attack and explain topics of analytical complexity.

 Requirements

 

·Bachelor's degree;

·3-5 years of direct credit risk experience 

·BA, MBA or CFA candidate preferred;

·relevant experience a plus, especially coverage or knowledge 

·US GAAP

·Expertise in Excel and Word;

·Strong analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills;

·Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

·Ability to shift fluidly between multiple projects as priorities change;

·Ability to excel in a team oriented environment.
