Job Purpose: 

To create BOM’s for new products and oversee any changes to existing BOM’s through the Production Change of Specification process or Special Build process.

Scope/dimensions: To be responsible for the creation and management of BOM’s and develop in depth product knowledge to ensure BOM’s remain accurate throughout the life of the product and monitor, identify and resolve any incorrect routing requests.

Key Responsibilities: Prepare, update and maintain manufacturing BOM’s within the ERP system to the latest specifications based on engineering data Identify and define BOM product requirements which will include structuring routings & component level manufacturing requirements Act as point of contact and support any production issues related to Manufacturing BOM’s and the associated routing structures including the processing of specification changes Load and maintain Special Build requirements within the ERP system and circulate to internal stakeholders Liaise with the internal sales team to create new Product Configuration options Create new inventory parts in the ERP system and maintain the inventory master data Demonstrate an ability to read and understand engineering drawings Responsible for processing Sales Order change of specifications after Sales Orders have been loaded in the ERP system Document and maintain process documents and training manuals for tasks carried out in this role Proactively engage in continuous improvement activities to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
