Head of Air Quality (Consultancy)
Location: Remote, UK
Salary: £50,000 - £65,000

Overview
 A leading multi-national environmental & engineering consultancy is seeking a highly motivated Air Quality Consultant to lead their Air Quality team. The successful candidate will contribute significantly to business development duties, deliver high-quality technical work, contribute to report writing in line with policy and guidance, and support client-facing activities.

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead and assist in air quality and odour assessments, including site visits, data analysis, and report production
  • Undertake business development duties to support business activities. 
  • Manage Air Quality Assessments to support planning applications and environmental permits
  • Work on specialist projects such as ammonia assessments, fire dispersion modelling, and related emerging scopes
  • Develop strong relationships with clients and collaborate with cross-disciplines within the business
  • Perform dispersion modelling (e.g. using ADMS, ADMS Roads)

Working Arrangements

  • Option to be based in one of the company’s UK locations, with hybrid/home working flexibility
  • Occasional travel required (UK and, at times, overseas) for site visits and meetings
  • Overnight stays may be necessary for multi-day site assignments
  • Full, valid UK driving licence required

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in environmental science, engineering, geography, or related discipline
  • Significant, demonstrable consultancy experience in air quality and team management
  • Chartered status and/or membership of relevant professional bodies (e.g. IAQM) preferred
  • Expertise in UK air quality legislation, planning policy, and regulatory frameworks
  • Proven experience with dispersion modelling software (ideally ADMS / ADMS Roads)
