Associate Structural Engineer

A well-established and highly respected structural engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Associate Structural Engineer to join its growing team. This is a confidential opportunity for an ambitious Associate who is looking for a future pathway to progress into a more senior leadership position.

The Role

This is a key appointment within the business, offering the opportunity to lead major projects, influence technical standards and play an active role in the future growth of the practice.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the structural delivery of complex projects from concept through to completion
  • Acting as project lead on mid and high-rise developments
  • Managing client relationships and coordinating multidisciplinary teams
  • Overseeing design quality, technical compliance and project performance
  • Supporting and mentoring engineers across the wider team
  • Contributing to practice-wide improvement of technical knowledge, systems and standards
  • Assisting with business development and helping shape future strategic growth

About You

We are seeking a commercially aware and technically strong engineer who is ready for the next stage of their career.

You will ideally have:

  • Current experience operating at Associate level within a consultancy environment
  • A clear ambition to progress into a higher leadership role in the future
  • Proven project lead experience on mid/high-rise concrete frame structures
  • Strong in-depth knowledge of the Eurocodes
  • Working knowledge of BS8110 would be highly beneficial
  • Experience delivering both new build and refurbishment projects
  • Ideally some exposure to existing building assessments, structural checking, remediation and Building Safety Cases
  • Confidence leading teams, managing clients and making key technical decisions
  • A proactive attitude with willingness to contribute beyond project delivery
