The Role

This position offers far more than a standard sales role. As a Business Development Manager, you will act as a trusted advisor, working closely with prospective clients to understand their business challenges and identify technology solutions that support growth, productivity, and resilience.

You will be responsible for driving new business acquisition, building and managing a robust sales pipeline, and developing long-term customer relationships. Success will come through proactive business development activities, including cold calling, LinkedIn outreach, networking, and targeted email campaigns.

While experience in account management would be advantageous, an established customer base is not required. The ideal candidate will bring energy, determination, and a genuine interest in both sales and technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate new business opportunities through outbound sales activity, including cold calling, email campaigns, LinkedIn engagement, and networking.
  • Build, manage, and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
  • Identify, qualify, and convert prospective clients into new business wins.
  • Develop strong relationships with senior decision-makers and key stakeholders.
  • Conduct consultative sales meetings to understand client requirements and business objectives.
  • Recommend tailored IT solutions across cyber security, cloud services, infrastructure, networking, and business continuity.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activity and opportunities within the CRM system.
  • Work closely with internal delivery teams to ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new clients.

Candidate Profile

  • Previous experience in B2B sales, business development, lead generation, or a similar commercial role.
  • Comfortable carrying out proactive outbound prospecting and cold calling activities.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Self-motivated, target-focused, and commercially driven.
  • Organised with excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Confident using CRM platforms and sales engagement tools.
  • Ambitious, adaptable, and keen to build a successful career within the technology sector.
