Lead Network Deployment Technician – Southeast

Remote | Southeast Travel
Full-Time | Direct Hire
Salary: $90,000–$105,000 per year

Lead Deployments. Solve Problems. Represent the Brand.

We are hiring an experienced Lead Network Deployment Technician to support network installations and deployments across the Southeast.

This is a remote-based position with regional travel to customer sites. We are looking for someone who combines strong hands-on technical experience with leadership ability and exceptional customer service.

You will serve as a key field representative on customer projects, leading installations, troubleshooting network issues, coordinating technicians, and ensuring each deployment is completed professionally, accurately, and on schedule.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced network, low-voltage, or infrastructure technician who is ready to take ownership of projects and lead field execution.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead network deployment and installation projects at customer locations throughout the Southeast
  • Serve as the primary field representative and provide a professional, white-glove customer experience
  • Install, configure, troubleshoot, and validate network infrastructure and equipment
  • Lead and coordinate technicians and installation crews on-site
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity, hardware, cabling, and installation issues
  • Install and support network switches, wireless access points, firewalls, gateways, racks, and related equipment
  • Oversee structured cabling, patching, labeling, cable management, and rack installations
  • Review project scopes, drawings, installation requirements, and deployment documentation
  • Perform testing and validation to ensure installations meet project and customer standards
  • Identify field issues, communicate solutions, and escalate technical concerns when necessary
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, test results, photos, and closeout information
  • Communicate professionally with customers, project managers, technical teams, and other stakeholders
  • Ensure technicians follow quality, safety, and installation standards
  • Travel throughout the Southeast based on project requirements

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in network deployment, network infrastructure, low-voltage systems, structured cabling, data centers, or a related field
  • Previous experience as a Lead Technician, Senior Technician, Foreman, Field Lead, or similar position
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise network infrastructure
  • Experience installing and supporting switches, wireless access points, firewalls, racks, patch panels, and structured cabling
  • Strong understanding of copper and fiber infrastructure
  • Ability to lead technicians and manage field execution independently
  • Comfortable reading installation drawings, scopes of work, and technical documentation
  • Strong documentation and project closeout skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional appearance and ability to interact confidently with customers
  • Ability to work independently in a remote field-based environment
  • Willingness and ability to travel throughout the Southeast

The Right Person

Technical ability is important, but this position requires more than someone who can install equipment.

We are looking for someone who can walk into a customer facility, professionally represent the company, understand the project requirements, lead the field team, troubleshoot problems, communicate clearly with the customer, and take ownership of the deployment from arrival through completion.

You should be comfortable making decisions in the field and ensuring the customer receives an exceptional experience.
