Chief Engineer – Semiconductor Power Systems

Position Summary

Join an innovative clean-energy company developing a world-first semiconductor-based power cell that continuously generates electricity using advanced materials science—delivering clean, reliable baseload power without sunlight, batteries, or weather limitations.

With more than $1B in secured investment and a long-term global manufacturing partnership, the organization is now scaling production and launching a new semiconductor division to bring this transformative “always-on power” technology to market.

As Chief Engineer, you’ll be part of the founding technical leadership team, steering the design, fabrication, and integration of advanced semiconductor devices and thin-film processes that will redefine distributed energy generation worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and integration of semiconductor-based energy devices for large-scale, high-throughput manufacturing.
  • Build, mentor, and inspire a multidisciplinary engineering team focused on innovation, reliability, and technical excellence.
  • Develop and optimize thin-film deposition, PVD, and device packaging processes to ensure efficiency, safety, and scalability.
  • Partner with automation, robotics, and materials teams to refine continuous production lines and enhance yield and uptime.
  • Translate R&D breakthroughs into industrial-grade, commercially viable products that meet global energy and safety standards.
  • Serve as a key technical voice for strategic decisions, patent development, and technology partnerships.
  • Establish best-in-class standards for process control, equipment reliability, and operational performance.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • PhD or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related discipline.
  • 15+ years’ experience in semiconductor, power device, or advanced materials engineering, including leadership of large technical teams.
  • Expertise in device physics, thin-film technologies, PVD, vacuum systems, and high-volume process development.
  • Proven ability to scale complex R&D technologies into industrial production environments.
  • Strong grasp of automation, robotics, and process control systems for precision manufacturing.
  • Excellent problem-solving, mentoring, and communication skills with a passion for innovation and clean energy.
  • Track record of driving performance, safety, and reliability improvements in a production setting.
