An industry leading company in the flooring market requires a Contracts Manager to oversee various large-scale projects, largely in the commercial and infrastructure sectors across the East of England on a permanent basis.


The contracts manager will be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of projects and their progress, ensuring work schedules and commercial guidelines are followed. 


The client is looking for a hands-on, enthusiastic individual who will be involved and invested in the project and its progress. 


About our Client 

• The client has been active in the flooring sector for over 70 years with an established client base and consistent work supplying and installing contract flooring into new build housing developments, hotels, schools and hospitals across the East of England


About the Role 

  • Responsibility for day to day management of allocated portfolio of projects (from £10,000 - £1,000,000). 
  • Responsibility for ensuring projects are completed on a timely basis within budget. 
  • Carry out on site method statements and risk assessments. 
  • Ensure all works are carried out under health and safety guidelines. 
  • Assist Surveyors and other Senior Management in the overall planning and management of projects.
  • The contracts manager will manage a growing team currently consisting of twenty, including fitters, an administrator and three surveyors


About the Candidate 

  • Previous experience in flooring management of commercial projects 
  • Flexible self-starter with ability to prioritise 
  • Displays strong leadership skills 
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • PC literate 
  • Preparing Estimates for settling prior to submission to client (a working knowledge of Masterpiece or other estimating software highly desirable)
  • Competitive salary and package and bonus structure 
  • Company with a healthy order book looking to expand into other contract areas such as furniture, curtains and blinds

Hours are 0800 – 1700, Monday to Friday
