My Client, a specialist UK based Consultancy based across the South West of England, is searching for a Senior Transport Planner to join their specialist team in Sheffield. 

As a Senior Transport Planner you will join an experienced team of Consultants based in Sheffield and complete varied traffic, transportation and highways projects for varied public and private sector clients across the region.  

You will have the chance to complete transport projects for a range of sectors spanning residential, commercial, industrial, leisure developments, renewable energy, data centres, new homes/towns across the North of England.  You will work with multi-disciplinary teams across the region and be expected to complete;

-Transport Statements.

-Transport Assessments.

-Review and amend site layouts and provide travel/transport advice to clients.

-Prepare and peer review of Transport Statements  and Transport Assessment Reports, Travel Plans, EIA and Junction Modelling.

-Coordinate speed, parking and traffic surveys and traffic impact assessments.    

-Review and commission data collection for traffic, travel and parking data using surveys and mapping techniques.    

-Review and analyse modelling using tools such as Multi Modal Transport/Junction Modelling & Analysis.  

-Manage multiple projects and planning applications.  

-Bids, tenders, invoices. 

-Support, manage and mentor team members. 

-Liaise with Clients, Local Authorities and staff to discuss traffic and transportation designs and plans and project progress. 

-Client meeting to alleviate design clashes and project issues.

Candidates are required to have an MSc and/or BSc in Geography, Urban Planning, Transport Planning or Civil Engineering and experience working as a Transport Planner completing travel plans and transport statements.

Candidates are required to be working towards Chartership of appropriate organisation (such as ICE, CILT or CIHT) and have experience using Junction 9 (Archady/Picady), TRANSYT or Linsig or VISSIM.  

A full UK licence is also beneficial to visit sites across the region.
