Graduate Quantity Surveyor

AMB Recruitment Group is working with a well-established, award-winning contractor that delivers landscaping and civil engineering projects across the North West. They offer a full design-and-build service from their head office in Mid Cheshire, and due to continued growth they’re now looking to bring Graduate Quantity Surveyors into their commercial team.

This is a great opportunity for someone at the start of their QS career to join a business where you’ll be involved across the full life of a project, from tendering and pricing right through to delivery and final account, with the support and training to help you develop.

What you’ll be doing:

• Supporting the commercial team with tenders, pricing and preparing quotations
• Measuring and taking off quantities from drawings
• Sending out enquiries to suppliers and subcontractors and comparing quotes
• Assisting with cost reports, valuations and applications for payment
• Helping to track variations and changes against the contract
• Visiting sites to understand the works and track progress
• Working alongside project managers, designers and site teams

What they’re looking for:

• A degree in Quantity Surveying
• Any placement or industry experience would be a bonus, but isn’t essential
• Organised, keen to learn and happy to get stuck in
• A full UK driving licence, as the role involves travel to sites and the office isn’t easily reached by public transport
• A CSCS card would be an advantage
