Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 DOE

With a strong presence in the UK market, this multi-disciplinary firm supports a diverse client base, including major infrastructure projects, urban regeneration schemes, transport developments, and mixed-use commercial and residential projects.

Established by a team of industry experts, this consultancy has built a reputation for delivering technically robust, commercially aware, and environmentally responsible solutions to issues within the built environment. With a collaborative, knowledge-sharing culture and strong emphasis on innovation and sustainability, they now seek a Senior Acoustic Consultant to join their dynamic team in London.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you’ll be integral to the delivery of acoustic and vibration consultancy services. You’ll work closely with other team members, project managers, and clients across a range of high-profile developments. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and supporting environmental noise and vibration assessments for planning and infrastructure projects
  • Carrying out site-based measurements, data collection, and analysis
  • Undertaking acoustic modelling and mapping using CadnaA and ODEON
  • Preparing high-quality technical reports, including Environmental Statement chapters and planning submissions
  • Engaging with clients, design teams, and external stakeholders to develop pragmatic and innovative noise mitigation strategies
  • Staying abreast of evolving regulations, standards, and best practice guidance
  • Supporting junior staff development and peer review of technical outputs where appropriate

Candidate Requirements:

We are looking for a proactive and technically competent consultant who is ready to take the next step in their career. To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Proven experience as an Acoustic Consultant, ideally with a strong background in environmental noise
  • A degree in Acoustics, Physics, Environmental Engineering, or a closely related subject
  • Experience with acoustic modelling software (CadnaA, ODEON or similar)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical capabilities and attention to technical detail
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel for site and client meetings
