A leading specialist asset maintenance contractor for buildings and structures operating across the UK is seeking a proactive and experienced Assistant Site Manager to support the delivery of infrastructure works across water sector projects. Based in Chesterfield, this is a hands-on role ideal for someone with a strong background in civil engineering and a passion for quality, safety, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Site Manager in overseeing daily site operations and workforce coordination
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
• Assist with planning, logistics, and subcontractor management
• Maintain accurate site records and contribute to progress reporting
• Liaise with clients, engineers, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery
• Promote a culture of quality, safety, and collaboration

Requirements

• Valid EUSR card (Essential)
• Proven experience on water infrastructure projects
• Strong understanding of site safety and compliance
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• CSCS card and SSSTS/SMSTS (preferred)
• Full UK driving licence
