Senior Architectural Technologist

Aztrum is working with a respected architectural practice seeking a Senior Architectural Technologist / Technician to strengthen its team and contribute to a growing portfolio of healthcare projects.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the technical development and delivery of projects, producing coordinated construction information and working closely with architects, consultants and contractors. The position would suit an experienced technical professional with a strong understanding of UK building regulations, construction detailing and the requirements associated with healthcare environments.

Key Responsibilities for this Senior Architectural Technologist / Technician role: 

• Develop and coordinate detailed technical drawings and construction packages.
• Produce technical information across relevant RIBA stages.
• Coordinate architectural designs with structural and building services consultants.
• Ensure designs comply with UK building regulations, healthcare guidance and relevant standards.
• Assist with specifications, schedules and other technical documentation.
• Liaise with contractors, consultants and project teams to resolve technical issues.
• Support projects through technical design and construction stages.
• Review drawings and ensure accuracy, quality and consistency across project information.

Requirements for this Senior Architectural Technologist / Technician role: 

• Relevant qualification in Architectural Technology or equivalent practical experience.
• Significant experience working within an architectural practice.
• Previous healthcare project experience is highly desirable.
• Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, detailing and UK building regulations.
• Proficiency in Revit and experience producing coordinated technical packages.
• Familiarity with multidisciplinary coordination and construction-stage support.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage project deadlines.
