Revit Coordinator (BIM + Production)
Toronto, ON | Full-Time, Permanent | 5 Days In-Office
$65,000 – $80,000
City Build Recruitment is working with an established, internationally active architecture practice to find a Revit Coordinator for its Toronto studio. This is a hybrid role for someone with strong BIM skills who still loves being hands-on in production. You'll keep project models clean, coordinated and running well, while also producing high-quality construction documents alongside the team.
You'll join one of the firm's project teams, report to a Project Manager, and be the go-to Revit person on your projects from schematic design through to construction administration.
What you'll be doing
- BIM coordination
- Setting up, managing and maintaining Revit models, including worksharing, templates, families, views and sheet setup, so the team can work efficiently
- Coordinating architectural models with structural, mechanical and electrical consultants, running model reviews and clash checks, and tracking issues through to resolution
- Upholding BIM standards and best practices on your projects, keeping models accurate, organized and healthy
- Supporting and mentoring team members on Revit workflows and troubleshooting day-to-day model issues
Production
- Assembling construction drawing sets in Revit, including site plans, floor plans, elevations, building sections and wall details
- Supporting Project Managers and Associates as projects develop, preparing design development, construction documentation, contract administration packages and Authority submissions
- Keeping up with building systems, code changes and new BIM tools to keep sharpening your technical skills
What you'll bring
- 3+ years of architectural experience on large-scale retail, commercial, mixed-use or institutional projects (community and residential experience is an asset)
- Advanced Revit skills, with hands-on experience in model setup, worksharing, families, templates and multi-consultant coordination
- Strong proficiency producing Contract Documents in current versions of Revit
- Working knowledge of Bluebeam; experience with Navisworks, Dynamo or similar BIM tools is a strong asset
- Solid understanding of building technology and assembly, construction methods and materials
- Familiarity with contract administration and shop drawing review
- A problem-solver who enjoys helping colleagues and taking ownership of model quality
- A collaborative attitude, comfortable working in teams of 3 to 15, and flexibility to work overtime when deadlines call for it
Why this role
- A permanent position with a well-established practice working on significant projects
- A role that combines technical BIM leadership with real production work, so you're not just managing models from the sidelines
- A clear path to grow into BIM Manager or senior technical leadership
