A leading Building Services Design Consultancy based in Kent is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their growing team.

This is a hybrid opportunity offering exposure to a diverse project portfolio across residential, commercial, industrial, and data centre sectors throughout the UK.

You’ll be joining a specialist team in Dartford, working alongside highly experienced engineers on high-profile developments including data centres, large-scale residential schemes, commercial buildings, and retail projects.

The Role

As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you will take responsibility for delivering detailed electrical designs, including cabling and lighting systems, using industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, Dialux, and Amtech.

You will also:

• Produce design calculations for commercial and mixed-use projects
• Develop detailed electrical system designs across a range of building types
• Carry out surveys, testing, and reporting on existing installations
• Attend and contribute to technical meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors
• Perform engineering calculations using Amtech, Dialux, Pro-Design, or similar tools
• Prepare tender specifications and technical drawings
• Support and mentor junior team members where required

About You

To be considered, you will have:

• HNC / HND / BSc / MSc in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
• Proven experience within a UK-based consultancy environment
• Strong background in electrical design for data centres, residential, and commercial projects
• Proficiency in Dialux and relevant design software
• In-depth knowledge of BS7671 (Wiring Regulations) and associated standards
