My Client, a market leading Building Services and Sustainability Consultancy, is searching for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their team in Bristol.  

This innovative consultancy specialises in electrical and building services designs for varied commercial, retail, residential and historical developments, with a focus on sustainable, low-energy retrofits and Passivhaus.  You will have the chance to complete electrical designs for high-end residential and hotels, schools and theatres across the UK.         

As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you’ll play a key role in bringing diverse projects to life, from concept through to completion. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering high-quality electrical designs for buildings across a wide range of sectors including theatres, hotels, residential, schools and stately homes.  
  • Engaging in all stages of the project lifecycle and liaise with multidisciplinary teams in the office and on-site.
  • Monitor site progression, liaising with design and commissioning teams, supporting site installations and ensuring design compliance.
  •  Producing technical drawings and calculations for electrical systems, cabling and lighting (2D and 3D) using Dialux, Relux, Amtech and AutoCAD.  
  • Design of battery storage, photovoltaics and EV charging points.   
  • Contributing to sustainable design solutions and low-carbon strategies.  
  • Representing the company at project meetings and client interactions suggesting innovative and sustainable solutions for developments.

As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer you will be expected to have a strong academic background in Electrical Engineering and have experience designing for a UK based Consultancy completing electrical designs for mixed use developments using Dialux, Relux and/or Amtech.

Experience designing for sustainable, low-carbon projects would also be beneficial.   

You will also be required to have a working knowledge of British/European standards and Building Regulations and BREEAM and ideally have experience designing lighting, battery storage, EV charging or Photovoltaics.

Whilst this opportunity offers flexible working, you will be required to work from the office in Bristol. You will also be required to have a valid driving licence to attend site visits across the region.
