Are you an experienced client manager from financial services looking for a role where you'll have real ownership of risk and client relationships?
This is a hands-on position managing a mixed portfolio of Factoring and Invoice Discounting clients, where your credit analysis and relationship management skills will directly impact business outcomes.
The Company
Our client is an established financial services provider specialising in working capital solutions. You'll be joining the Client Management team, reporting to the Head of Operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage a mixed portfolio of Factoring and Invoice Discounting clients, balancing service delivery with risk management
- Monitor client ledger performance and ensure compliance with credit parameters and operational conditions
- Write detailed client reviews, variation requests and facility uplifts for senior management approval
- Analyse and evaluate credit risks, applying for or reducing debtor credit lines within your authorisation level
- Set internal triggers to highlight potential issues and monitor weekly escalations covering collection targets, unapproved debt, dilution and verification
- Conduct monthly compliance monitoring and ongoing operational condition reviews
- Identify warning signs of client deterioration, fraud or bad debt risk and take appropriate action
- Verify debts prior to advancing funds and assess overpayment requests
- Monitor debt performance and facility statistics to identify red flags and act proactively on anomalies
- Understand each client's business model well enough to formulate exit strategies if needed
- Attend client meetings to maintain relationships and understand their working capital needs
- Ensure all activity complies with AML, KYC and GDPR regulations
Skills and Experience
Essential:
- Financial services and client management experience
- Direct experience in Factoring
- Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across different teams
- Highly organised and methodical with strong attention to detail
- Confident working with technology and willing to learn new systems
- Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team to meet deadlines
- Strong problem solving and decision making skills
- Able to work under pressure whilst maintaining high standards
- Excellent time management and interpersonal skills
Desirable:
- Experience in risk analysis
- Understanding of statistics and ability to interpret facility data
- Basic understanding of financial accounts
- Product knowledge of Invoice Discounting and Trade facilities
- UK Finance Foundation or UK Finance Certificate qualification
