Provide technical input into civil engineering elements of projects, including drainage design, platform levels, earthworks and foundation solutions.

Use and oversee the use of structural design and analysis software, including Tekla and other relevant engineering packages.

Provide technical leadership, mentoring and support to engineers and junior members of the team, reviewing their work and helping develop their technical capabilities.

Assist with workload planning, resource allocation and project management, working closely with senior management to ensure successful delivery across the team.

Liaise confidently with clients, contractors, architects and other consultants, providing technical advice and resolving complex engineering issues.

Contribute to the continued development of the structural engineering team, processes and technical standards within the business.

Contribute to a varied portfolio of projects across residential, commercial, industrial, educational and waste management sectors.

Extensive experience reviewing calculations, checking complex designs and providing technical sign-off.

Strong knowledge of structural design and analysis software, ideally including Tekla and relevant engineering design packages.

An understanding of drainage and wider civil engineering design would be highly beneficial.

Experience managing projects, coordinating design teams and providing technical leadership.

Strong client-facing and communication skills, with the confidence to take ownership of technical decisions and provide solutions to complex engineering challenges.
