Role Overview
As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth by building strong introducer networks and identifying new lending opportunities. You will be the face of the business within your territory, promoting asset-secured and property-backed funding solutions tailored to the needs of SMEs and other clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, manage, and develop relationships with commercial finance brokers, intermediaries, and introducers.
- Attend relevant networking events and maintain a high profile within the regional financial community.
- Identify, approach, and onboard new clients in your designated region.
- Source and structure lending opportunities aligned with underwriting criteria.
- Advise SMEs, property investors, and business owners on tailored funding options including asset-based lending and property finance.
- Maintain a consultative sales approach to offer appropriate financial solutions.
- Manage the end-to-end deal cycle from initial introduction to funding.
- Maintain ongoing client relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Achieve personal and team lending targets.
- Contribute to the growth of the regional loan book and overall business objectives.
Key Skills & Experience
- Proven success in a business development or sales role within bridging and property commercial finance.
- Strong network of finance brokers, introducers, and SMEs in your region.
- Knowledge of secured lending, asset-based finance, or property finance.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills.
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to work autonomously.
- A consultative, client-focused sales style.
