A well-known and successful planning consultancy in Bristol is seeking an experienced Senior Town Planner to join its growing team. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced planner who is ready to take the next step in their career within a supportive and collaborative environment.
The successful candidate will bring proven experience in strategic land applications, demonstrating the ability to manage complex projects and contribute to the promotion of strategic development sites. They will also play a key role in supporting the Reserved Matters category, ensuring high-quality submissions and effective coordination with internal teams, external stakeholders, and local authorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading and managing strategic land planning applications.
- Supporting and coordinating Reserved Matters submissions.
- Providing planning advice to clients and stakeholders.
- Preparing and managing planning documentation and evidence.
- Engaging with local authorities, landowners, and development partners.
- Contributing to project strategies and the wider planning team.
Requirements:
- RTPI-accredited degree or equivalent.
- Experience in strategic land planning applications.
- Strong understanding of the planning process, including Reserved Matters.
- Excellent communication, report-writing, and project-management skills.
- Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a wider team.
