Our client is a leading provider of material handling solutions, specialising in the supply, maintenance, and repair of forklifts and related equipment. Known for their technical expertise and commitment to high-quality service, they support businesses across the UK in keeping their equipment safe, efficient, and reliable.

They are now seeking an experienced Forklift Senior Engineer to join their on-site workshop team. This role involves performing both electrical and mechanical servicing, diagnosing faults, and ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards. The successful candidate will also provide guidance and support to junior engineers while contributing to the smooth running of the workshop.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out electrical and mechanical repairs, maintenance, and servicing on forklifts and material handling equipment
• Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults efficiently
• Ensure all work complies with health, safety, and quality standards
• Assist in managing the workshop and supporting team members
• Mentor and support junior engineers, sharing knowledge and best practices

What we’re looking for:

• Strong electrical engineering experience, ideally with forklifts or similar equipment
• Relevant mechanical experience and qualifications
• Ability to diagnose and repair faults independently and effectively
• Proactive, solution-focused approach with excellent communication skills
• Willingness to support and mentor less experienced engineers
• Valid UK driving licence and access to own transport (rural location)
• Commitment to health and safety procedures
