Civil Engineer/Senior Civil Engineer

£35,000 - £55,000 - DOE 

A well-established Civil & Structural Engineering consultancy based in Port Talbot is seeking to appoint a Civil Engineer or Senior Civil Engineer to support its growing workload and expanding project portfolio.

The business is open to considering candidates at multiple levels, so if you are a civil engineer with at least 1 year of experience, please read below!

The Role

Working as part of a collaborative engineering team, you will be involved in the design and delivery of a wide range of civil and structural engineering projects from inception through to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce Civil Engineering drawings and technical designs across a variety of projects.
• Undertake designs for drainage systems, foundations, structural beams, and columns.
• Complete engineering calculations and supporting technical documentation.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Manage projects independently and contribute to team-led projects.
• Ensure designs comply with current regulations, industry standards, and health & safety requirements.

About You

• Experience within a Civil or Structural Engineering consultancy environment.
• Proficient in CAD software and engineering design tools.
• Strong technical understanding of civil engineering design principles and calculations.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage workloads effectively and work to project deadlines.
• Good knowledge of relevant UK standards and health & safety requirements.
• Chartered status or progression towards chartership would be advantageous but is not essential.
• Ideally hold a Bachelor's and Master's degree
