Our client is an ambitious and fast-growing pioneering music supervision company, known for creating soundtracks for film, fashion, and luxury brands worldwide.
They are looking for a People & Culture Lead to join their Barcelona team. You will be at the heart of all people-related processes, ensuring contracts, compliance, performance, and culture initiatives run smoothly.
In this role, you’ll own HR processes end-to-end, from designing frameworks to managing reviews, hiring, and onboarding, while collaborating with Directors, team leads, and employees across all three business units. Main Responsibilities:
- Take full ownership of the People & Culture function, shaping and implementing HR strategy and processes independently
- Design and implement end-to-end HR processes, including hiring, onboarding/offboarding, salary frameworks, policies, and employee handbook across all business units
- Lead full-cycle recruitment, build talent pipelines, and develop relationships with music, tech, and creative industry networks
- Manage annual review cycles, quarterly check-ins, and guide feedback conversations to ensure continuous development and alignment
- Map career paths, identify growth opportunities, and drive engagement initiatives, team-building events, and company culture programs.
- Oversee payroll processing, leave tracking, benefits administration, bonus logistics, and liaise with Finance to optimise compensation structures
- Ensure legal compliance across contracts, collective agreements, immigration, data protection, harassment prevention, and occupational safety
- Partner with Directors and Finance to anticipate hiring needs, budget workforce growth, and maintain organisational effectiveness
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee queries, providing a trusted, confidential resource for professional and personal matters
- Operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment, managing multiple priorities and dynamic changes
Core Skills/experience:
- 3–5 years of hands-on HR experience, ideally as a generalist in a startup or high-growth environment
- Strong knowledge of Spanish labour law, collective agreements, compliance, and HR administration, including payroll
- Proven ability to build HR processes from scratch, including performance review cycles and people operations frameworks
- Fluent in Spanish and English, French is a plus
- Exceptional organisational skills, able to manage multiple priorities across creative, service, and tech teams
- High emotional intelligence, handling sensitive situations with discretion, empathy, and good judgment
- Comfortable using modern HR tech, Cloud platforms, and AI tools to optimize processes and productivity
- Experience in music, entertainment, creative, or tech industries is a plus
