Part 2 Architectural Assistant – Leicester | £27,500 – £32,000

Aztrum is pleased to be partnering with a specialist architectural and property consultancy based in Leicester. The practice works nationally on bespoke residential projects, with a particular focus on creating accessible homes for individuals living with disabilities.

As the architectural team continues to grow, they are looking for a talented Part 2 Architectural Assistant to join their close-knit team and contribute to a diverse range of residential projects, including adaptations, refurbishments, extensions and bespoke new-build homes.

Key Responsibilities for this Part 2 Architectural Assistant: 

• Assist with the design and development of bespoke residential and accessible housing projects.
• Produce architectural drawings, technical details and 3D visualisations.
• Support projects through the various RIBA stages, from initial design through to construction.
• Assist with planning applications, Building Regulations submissions and technical documentation.
• Work closely with clients, families, occupational therapists, contractors and wider project teams.
• Contribute to the adaptation and transformation of existing properties to improve accessibility and quality of life.
• Attend client meetings, site visits and project reviews where required.
• Assist with presentations, reports, specifications and tender documentation.
• Develop creative and practical design solutions around complex accessibility and residential requirements.

Key Requirements for this Part 2 Architectural Assistant role:

• RIBA Part 2 qualification or equivalent.
• Previous experience within a UK architectural practice.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or other relevant architectural design software.
• Good understanding of UK Building Regulations and planning requirements.
• Strong technical design and detailing skills.
• An interest in residential architecture and accessible design.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• A creative, practical and problem-solving approach to design.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Full UK driving licence would be advantageous.
