We’re working with a reputable main contractor in the North West who delivers a wide range of public and private sector construction projects. They’re looking to appoint an experienced Estimator to support ongoing tendering activity across new build and refurbishment schemes.

This is a permanent role offering exposure to diverse project types and values, with a strong emphasis on collaborative working and early-stage client engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reviewing tender documentation and preparing cost estimates
• Producing bills of quantities and pricing labour, plant, and materials
• Coordinating subcontractor enquiries and analysing returns
• Attending site visits and liaising with client teams
• Supporting preconstruction planning and value engineering
• Preparing risk assessments and adjudication reports
• Contributing to cost planning and early-stage feasibility advice
• Ensuring smooth handover of estimates to delivery teams

Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience in estimating for main contractors
• Strong analytical and organisational skills
• Proficient in estimating software and general IT systems
• Comfortable working independently and within a team
• Holds relevant construction qualifications
• Able to manage deadlines and work under pressure
• Positive attitude and commitment to continuous improvement
