Summary of role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Conveyancer to join, manage and develop the expanding Residential Conveyancing team in Leicester. Your role will include tracking the team and department’s performance to ensure the implementation of the firm’s plan for the Conveyancing Department whilst assisting in the planning of the vision for the department.

What will you be doing?

  • Deal with a varied caseload including; Sale and purchase (including leasehold and new-build); Re-mortgage; Equity release; Transfer of equity; Lease extensions.
  • Participating in business development initiatives.
  • Monitoring Fee Earner caseloads and delegating workloads as required. Alongside assisting in the generation of new business for the Department and the Firm and exploring ways to maximize fee generation.
  • Track fee targets for the team and investigate any issues affecting teams from achieving agreed targets or available work income generation.

Experience & skills

  • Experience in managing a team.
  • A minimum of 4 years specialising in Residential Property.
  • Confident in developing and managing relationships with both clients and estate agents,
  • IT literate.
  • Committed.
  • Previous working knowledge of using case management systems.
  • Excellent business development skills.
  • Strong organisation and compliance skills.
  • An ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Possess excellent communication skills to influence and negotiate.
  • Keen to offer practical and cost-effective solutions to meet the clients’ needs.
  • The coaching and listening skills to influence a wide and diverse range of people and develop relationships.
