Associate Director – Acoustics, Noise & Vibration

We’re representing a leading UK property consultancy with a strong track record in planning, environment, and infrastructure. Following continued growth and a healthy project pipeline, they are seeking an experienced Associate Director (Acoustics, Noise & Vibration) to join their national Environment & Infrastructure team.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and manage acoustic, noise & vibration projects from inception to delivery.
  • Oversee financial and project management across a diverse workload.
  • Supervise, mentor and grow junior team members.
  • Act as a key point of contact for clients, regulators, and stakeholders.
  • Provide expert witness input where required.
  • Contribute to winning and developing new business opportunities.
  • Present at external events and conferences.

About You

  • Degree or higher qualification in acoustics (or related).
  • 10+ years’ consultancy experience with team leadership exposure.
  • Strong knowledge of UK planning systems, environmental acoustics, and relevant standards.
  • Experienced in noise modelling and propagation standards.
  • Confident communicator with a track record of stakeholder engagement.
  • Ideally, active in IOA/ANC committees or similar professional forums.
  • Expert witness experience is a bonus.
