My Client, a market leading Structural Engineering Consultancy who specialise residential and commercial developments, is searching for a Head of Civil Engineering to join and expand their existing team in central London.  

This exciting role is perfect for an ambitious individual who is keen to grow and develop the civils team.  You will manage projects, mentor and support the existing team, check technical work and liaise with clients to discuss project progress and develop new business opportunities.  

Candidates are required to have a strong academic background in Civil Engineering and have achieved or be close to achieving Chartered Status. 

You will also be required to have vast experience specialising in infrastructure and civil engineering designs for residential, commercial and mixed-use development projects.  

Management experience is also required in order to manage projects and mentor team members. 

As a Head of Civil Engineering, you will be required to manage projects, mentor team members, grow the team and workload and liaise with clients to discuss project development and complex designs. 

You will be required to review, amend, check and complete the following; 

-Flood risk assessments

- Foul sewerage and trade effluent drainage strategies to assess the viability of constructing new sewers or private treatment systems.

-Detailed storm and foul water drainage network design and modelling.  

-Civil Engineering design for residential developments (S278, S38, S104 and S106).  

-Liaise with Local Authorities and Government Bodies to obtain Environmental Permits and Drainage Consents.  

-Access road design.  

-Team management and mentoring of existing staff.  

-Assist with recruitment and train/support new team members.

-Client meetings to discuss the project progress and to develop new business opportunities with both new and existing Clients.
