Candidates are required have the following academic background to apply;
-BSc and/or MSc in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering or a HNC/HND Building Services Engineering (Electrical) or Electrical & Electronic Engineering,
-You may also apply if you are currently working as a Qualified or Approved Electrician who wants to transition into a design role. You will be required to hold qualifications City & Guilds 2365 or equivalent or City & Guilds 2396.
Candidates are also required to have experience completing electrical designs cabling and lighting designs for industrial, commercial and international projects using Relux or Dialux or Amtech.
It is beneficial for applicants to reside in London and have experience completing major infrastructure projects and have experience completing site visits to discuss designs with contractors and clients.
Candidates will be required to reside locally to work on a hybrid basis. You may be expected to work from the office for the first six months of employment.
Excellent communications skills will also be required to liaise with contractors and clients on site.
As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will join a supportive team based in Surbiton to complete electrical designs for commercial, industrial, residential, marinas, ports and harbours using Revit, Amtech, Dialux, Relux and AutoCAD.
You will also be required to check technical work, mentor team members and complete complex electrical designs for mixed use developments across the UK and overseas.
You will also be expected to deliver projects to time and budget, meeting Clients’ expectations and assist with site visits to meet and coordinate between internal and external design teams, clients, architects and contractors to discuss sustainable design concepts.
