We are seeking an experienced Director of Business Development to drive national growth within the data center and mission-critical infrastructure market.

This is a senior individual-contributor role for a proven business-development professional who understands the data center ecosystem, has established industry relationships, and knows how to turn those relationships into new business.

The company provides technology deployment and field services supporting complex data center environments, including structured cabling and fiber, rack-and-stack, remote hands, network infrastructure deployments, hardware installation, modernization projects, and large-scale technology rollouts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and win new business within the data center and mission-critical market
  • Build relationships with hyperscalers, colocation providers, general contractors, electrical contractors, integrators, developers, and infrastructure partners
  • Leverage existing industry relationships to generate qualified opportunities
  • Identify projects early and position the company before formal RFQs and RFPs
  • Manage opportunities from initial introduction through proposal, negotiation, and award
  • Build and maintain a strong national sales pipeline
  • Develop strategic accounts into long-term client relationships
  • Represent the company at customer meetings, conferences, and industry events

What We’re Looking For

  • 7+ years of successful business development or sales experience within data centers, mission-critical construction, technology infrastructure, telecom, or a related industry
  • Proven track record of generating net-new business and winning significant project-based revenue
  • Established relationships within the data center and infrastructure ecosystem
  • Strong hunter mentality with the ability to independently create and develop opportunities
  • Experience selling project-based services and solutions
  • Strong executive-level communication, negotiation, and closing skills
  • Ability to travel as needed for customer meetings and industry events

Direct data center experience is strongly preferred. Candidates from structured cabling, fiber, low voltage, telecom infrastructure, mission-critical construction, electrical construction, or other complementary industries will also be considered if they have relevant relationships within the data center market.

This is an opportunity for an established business development professional to play a significant role in expanding a growing company’s national presence within one of the fastest-growing infrastructure markets in the country.
