Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 

 

About the Role:

My well established clients are seeking a talented Urban Designer with a passion for creating vibrant, sustainable, and well-designed residential communities. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of residential developments, from initial concept through to detailed layout design.

As an Urban Designer, you will focus on masterplanning and layout design for a range of residential projects. You’ll work collaboratively with planners, architects, engineers, and developers to ensure that our projects meet client expectations, while also delivering high-quality, people-focused places that consider the needs of future residents and the surrounding environment.

Key Responsibilities for this Urban Designer role:

• Lead the masterplanning and layout design of residential development projects.
• Prepare and present detailed design drawings, conceptual layouts, and spatial frameworks.
• Develop innovative design solutions that respond to site context, regulatory requirements, and sustainability principles.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including planners, landscape architects, and engineers.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand their vision and objectives, ensuring alignment with project goals.

Qualifications & Skills:

• A degree in Urban Design, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, or a related field.
• Strong expertise in masterplanning and layout design for residential developments.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and/or GIS.
• Experience working within UK planning and regulatory frameworks for residential development.
