Salary: £28,000 to £30,000 + pension
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm
Type: Permanent, full time

About the role

Our client is an established building services and maintenance contractor with a team of engineers working on commercial sites across the North West. They’re looking for an organised Administration Assistant to look after their accreditations and support the office and engineering team.

The key requirement: you’ll need some hands-on experience with Constructionline, SafeContractor, CHAS or a similar contractor accreditation scheme. You don’t need to have run it all yourself. If you’ve helped gather evidence, update policies or support a renewal, we’d love to hear from you. Full training and a proper handover will be given.

What you’ll be doing

Accreditations and compliance

  • Keeping the company’s accreditations (including Constructionline and SafeContractor) up to date throughout the year
  • Gathering evidence and documentation for renewals and audits
  • Supporting Health & Safety administration and keeping records current
  • Keeping client and supplier portals accurate and up to date

Engineers and operations

  • Booking training for engineers and keeping the training matrix up to date
  • Ordering engineer uniforms and monitoring stock
  • Arranging monthly van stock top-ups and checking vehicles carry the correct safety equipment

Office and facilities

  • Fire alarm testing and keeping first aid kits fully stocked
  • Keeping the office organised and arranging warehouse tidy-ups
  • General office support, including reports, site files and correspondence
  • Identifying new tender opportunities for the business

What you’ll need

  • Some experience with Constructionline, SafeContractor, CHAS or similar contractor accreditations (essential)
  • Administration experience, ideally within construction, maintenance or a contractor environment
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail
  • Confident with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
  • Happy working on your own initiative once settled in

What’s on offer

  • £28,000 to £30,000 depending on experience
  • Company pension
  • Free on-site parking
  • Full handover and training
  • A varied role in a growing business
