Sustainability Associate 

Location: Leeds

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 plus DOE

A multi-award winning engineering consultancy is seeking an eager and passionate Sustainability Associate to join the team in Leeds.

You will be part of a industry-leading team, contributing to high-impact projects across various sectors and helping advance sustainable design, construction and building operations.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead sustainability projects across multiple sectors
• Oversee and review modelling outcomes
• Manage energy and simulation-based workstreams
• Mentor junior team members in Building Physics / Simulation
• Contribute to industry through research, guidance documents, and R&D studies
• Support the senior team with: development appraisals, line management, resourcing, fee proposals, business development
• Collaborate with Project and Operations leads

What we’re looking for:

• Technical and proficient knowledge in: energy strategies, planning support documentation, Building Regulations Part L compliance, in-use energy modelling (NABERS), Net Zero Carbon strategies, thermal comfort and overheating risk assessments
• A minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in a sustainability or engineering consultancy 
• Experience in the built environment sector
• Motivated by a serious commitment to sustainability
• Ability to clearly communicate complex technical solutions to clients
• Strong communication and collaborative working style
