Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - Building Services

Location: Kent - Hybrid

Salary: £45,000 - £63,000 + DOE

An established building services consultancy is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their dynamic team, working on a range of exciting residential and mixed-use developments across the South East.

Key responsibilities:

•  Lead mechanical design across a range developments
• Develop detailed design drawings, reports, and specifications
• Manage project delivery and support junior team members with technical guidance and mentorship
• Coordinate closely with electrical, public health, and sustainability teams
• Liaise with clients, architects, and contractors to ensure design integrity and compliance
• Apply current building regulations, standards, and low-carbon design principles

What we’re looking for:

• Degree-qualified in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent experience
• Chartered or working toward Chartered Engineer status (CIBSE or equivalent)
• Strong experience in mechanical building services design, particularly within residential and mixed-use projects
• Proficient in software such as AutoCAD, Revit, IES
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
• A proactive approach to sustainability and energy-efficient design solutions
