We are currently recruiting on behalf of a growing multidisciplinary engineering consultancy for a Civil Engineer to join their team in Cardiff. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a collaborative and forward-thinking business delivering high-quality engineering solutions across a wide range of projects.

While the primary base for this role is Cardiff, the company also has a Bristol office, meaning candidates located in either region can be considered.

This consultancy operates as a specialist SME, combining the technical capability of a larger consultancy with the flexibility and personalised approach of a smaller firm. Their team of passionate engineers and designers work closely together to deliver practical, innovative solutions while building strong relationships with clients and project partners.

The Role

As a Civil Engineer, you will be involved in the design and delivery of infrastructure and development projects, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders. You will contribute to projects from initial concept and feasibility through to detailed design and delivery, helping to produce efficient and technically sound engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the design and delivery of civil engineering and infrastructure projects
• Prepare technical drawings, reports, and engineering calculations
• Work collaboratively with internal teams and external consultants
• Support project delivery from concept design through to detailed design stages
• Liaise with clients, local authorities, and other stakeholders
• Ensure designs meet relevant industry standards and regulations
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• Experience in development infrastructure or civil engineering design
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage or similar software
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment
