About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join with our client. The successful candidate will be responsible for electrical and mechanical planned preventative maintenance, servicing, and breakdown repairs of our specialist foundry equipment, including furnaces, injection moulding presses, and various shotblasting equipment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance, service, and repair of all electrical and mechanical equipment on site   
  • Support manufacturing/production team to achieve targets and optimise machine run times  
  • Prioritise maintenance requests and carry out planned, preventative maintenance effectively   
  • Support plant improvement projects  
  • Liaise with on-site contractors  
  • Assist in training and development of apprentices  


Skills and Experience: 

  • Time-served engineer with an electrical bias and strong mechanical maintenance capabilities   
  • Ideally qualified to a minimum HNC standard with a good knowledge of 415V electrical skills   
  • Proficient in mechanical and electrical fault-finding and repair  
  • Welding/fabrication skills desirable  
  • Experience in PAT testing preferred  
  • Previous experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment  
  • Self-motivated, IT literate, with attention to detail  
  • Tenacious with a can-do attitude  
  • Effective communication skills and ability to hit the ground running  
  • Adherence to health and safety and company policies  
  • Must live within a commutable distance and provide evidence of right to work in the UK
