Senior Transport Planner

Leicester or Nottingham 

£38,000 - £48,000

A well-established transport planning and engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Transport Planner to join its Midlands team, based from offices in either Leicester or Nottingham. The role sits within an experienced and collaborative transport planning group supporting a wide range of development projects for private sector clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing Transport Statements, Transport Assessments and Travel Plans for planning submissions
• Advising on highway and transport-related planning matters, including access strategies and feasibility studies
• Producing preliminary horizontal designs for site access junctions and highway improvement works for highway authority approval
• Delivering work to a high technical standard within agreed timescales
• Working independently while supporting junior team members when required
• Building strong working relationships with clients, design teams and highway authorities

Experience & Skills

• Proven experience in transport planning
• Competence using industry software such as TRICS and Junctions
• Experience with LinSig, GIS, AutoCAD, AutoTrack, PDS Sign/Line or similar software is advantageous
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong technical, organisational and communication skills
