We are working on behalf of a Sheet Metalwork leading supplier of sheet metal and tubular components, assemblies and light fabrications to customers throughout the UK employing over 200+ people.
The precision fabrication company provides the full range of subcontract engineering services, including tube and sheet laser cutting, tube and sheet bending, fabrication, powder coating and assembly from factory in County Durham. They are looking to add a Tube Processing Machine Setter/Operator to their already established team, roles will become permanent for the right people.
Working on two shift rotation, applicants should have experience and knowledge of working on CNC Tube bending machines (ideally BLM) but it is not essential that the experience is with this exact type of machine.
You must be able to work independently which will include selecting tools, setting of the machine, editing programs and checking parts and have the ability to run first parts off and developing blanks to then be proved out on the machine.
Knowledge of working to and understanding engineering drawings is essential in both first and third angle projection. The ability to work unsupervised is required as although in a team of approx. 4 people the individual will be required to work through various jobs without assistance.
Dayshift: (training period) Monday to Thursday 08:00 - 17:00 and Friday 08:00 - 12:30
2 Shift System:
Week 1: Monday to Thursday 14:30 - 23:00, Friday 12:30 - 19:00
Week 2: Monday to Thursday 06:00 - 14:30, Friday 06:00 - 12:30
Pay: £13.20 per hour
