Bid Writer – Structural Repair Division

Location: Daresbury (Hybrid Working Available)

Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 per annum

A leading construction company is launching a new structural repair division and is seeking an experienced Bid Writer to play a pivotal role in its growth. This is a unique opportunity to join a well-established organisation at the inception of a specialist unit, with the autonomy to shape bid strategy and delivery.

The Role:

You will be responsible for producing high-quality, compelling bid documentation across a range of structural repair and civil engineering projects. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you’ll lead the bid process end-to-end, from initial scoping through to submission, ensuring alignment with client requirements and internal capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

•     Develop and manage bid content for structural repair and concrete-related projects

•     Collaborate with technical teams to extract and translate complex information into persuasive proposals

•     Maintain a library of bid materials and case studies for future use

•     Ensure compliance with tender specifications and deadlines

•     Support strategic bid decisions and contribute to win themes and value propositions

About You:

•     Minimum 5 years’ experience in bid writing within civil engineering, structural repair, or concrete structures

•     Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple bids simultaneously

•     Strong written communication and project coordination skills

•     Familiarity with public and private sector procurement processes

•     Comfortable working in a hybrid environment with occasional office presence in Daresbury
