An award-winning and rapidly expanding managed technology provider is looking to recruit an ambitious Business Development Manager to join its growing commercial team. Supporting organisations across the UK and Europe, the business delivers a comprehensive portfolio of technology solutions, including Managed IT Services, Cyber Security, Cloud Solutions, Professional Services, Backup & Disaster Recovery, Hardware, Software, and Digital Transformation projects. With a strong reputation for customer service and technical excellence, the company partners with businesses to improve operational efficiency, security, and long-term growth.

This role is ideal for an experienced technology sales professional who thrives on developing new business opportunities while building long-term client relationships. You'll work closely with technical specialists to deliver consultative solutions that solve real business challenges and generate measurable value for customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and win new business opportunities across SME and mid-market organisations throughout London and the UK.
  • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline through prospecting, networking, referrals, events, and inbound marketing activity.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from initial engagement through to proposal, negotiation, and contract completion.
  • Develop trusted relationships with key stakeholders, understanding their business objectives and recommending tailored technology solutions.
  • Work collaboratively with technical consultants and project teams to deliver bespoke client proposals.
  • Promote a broad portfolio of services including Managed IT Support, Cyber Security, Cloud Solutions, Professional Services, Backup & Disaster Recovery, Infrastructure, Hardware and Software.
  • Identify opportunities to grow existing customer accounts through cross-selling and upselling additional services.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, and pipeline reporting.
  • Attend client meetings, networking events, and industry functions across the UK.
  • Consistently achieve and exceed individual sales and revenue targets.

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Business Development, IT Sales, Technology Sales, Account Management, or Managed Services sales.
  • Proven track record of generating new business and achieving sales targets.
  • Experience selling one or more of the following: 
    • Managed IT Services
    • Cloud Solutions
    • Cyber Security
    • IT Infrastructure
    • Professional Services
    • Hardware & Software Solutions
  • Strong consultative sales approach with excellent relationship-building skills.
  • Confident communicator with strong presentation, negotiation, and commercial awareness.
  • Highly motivated, self-driven, and comfortable managing your own pipeline.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to customer sites when required.

Desirable Experience

  • Previous experience working within an MSP, IT consultancy, technology solutions provider, or value-added reseller.
  • Understanding of Microsoft technologies, cloud platforms, cyber security, networking, backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Experience selling into SME and mid-market organisations.
  • Knowledge of digital transformation and IT strategy projects would be advantageous.
