A growing sustainability consultancy based in Surrey is seeking an Energy Modeller to join its expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual looking to work on a diverse range of sustainable building projects within a collaborative and supportive environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering energy and building performance modelling across residential and commercial developments, supporting clients in achieving low-carbon and energy-efficient design solutions.
The Role
- Carrying out dynamic thermal modelling and energy assessments for a range of projects
- Producing SAP/SBEM calculations and energy strategy reports
- Supporting planning and compliance submissions in line with UK Building Regulations
- Assisting with overheating analysis, thermal comfort studies, and Part L compliance
- Working closely with architects, engineers, and wider project teams to develop sustainable design solutions
- Contributing to low-carbon and net-zero strategies across projects
- Managing project deadlines and communicating effectively with clients and stakeholders
Requirements
- Experience within energy modelling, building performance, or sustainability consultancy
- Proficiency with software such as IES-VE, TAS, DesignBuilder, SAP, or SBEM tools
- Good understanding of UK Building Regulations, Part L, and planning requirements
- Knowledge of thermal modelling and sustainable building design principles
- Strong communication and report-writing skills
- Ability to manage workload independently and work collaboratively within a small team
- Relevant degree in Sustainability, Building Services, Environmental Engineering, or similar discipline preferred
