My client, a market leading multidisciplinary Consultancy who specialise in sustainable infrastructure and energy-efficient building solutions, are searching for a Principal Energy Consultant to join their team in Newark or London.
Candidates are required have a BSc and/or MSc in Sustainability, Building Services or Building Physics Engineering and ideally have obtained chartered status though CIBSE and LEED AP accreditation.
You will also specialise energy modelling (IES) and low energy building design), Decarbonisation projects, Carbon Calculations and Overheating Assessments (Part L and Part O).
As a Chartered Consultant you will also have experience working on LEED-certified projects, ideally across multiple asset types and a strong understanding of UK and/or international building regulations, energy standards, and sustainability frameworks.
You are also expected to have experience managing projects and teams and engaging with clients on site.
As a Chartered Energy Consultant, you will join a specialist Energy Team based across the Midlands and London. You will have the opportunity to work on varied low-carbon projects providing energy efficient design solutions to UK based and international clients.
Projects are varied and span sustainable infrastructure, education, healthcare, leisure, residential, commercial and industrial developments.
You will have the chance to work with a variety of private and public sector clients to design innovative and low-carbon designs for the built environment.
You will be required to manage project, mentor team members and complete varied technical work including;
-Complete expert energy and sustainability consultancy services across all project stages, from concept design through to construction.
-Lead and deliver energy strategies, feasibility studies, and energy modelling (IES) for new build and refurbishment projects across a wide range of sectors.
-Decarbonisation and carbon calculations.
-Manage and coordinate LEED certification projects, acting as the primary technical lead and client advisor.
-Undertake dynamic thermal modelling, energy assessments, and carbon calculations.
-Overheating assessments (part O and part L).
Advise design teams on net zero carbon technologies and Passivhaus principles.
Ensure design compliance with relevant building regulations, planning policy, and sustainability frameworks and liaise with clients, architects, engineers, contractor to ensure energy efficient requirements are met.
-Sustainability Statements.
-Develop new business with new and existing clients.
-Mentor and manage junior team members, checking technical work and providing advise when needed.
